Olympism Club Leadership Pathway

Background
Identifying and nurturing high-potential youth is critical to sustaining long-term community development through sport.

Challenge
Talented and motivated participants needed a platform to advance their leadership skills and gain real-world experience in organising and leading.

Altus Sport Intervention
The Olympism Club was introduced as a progression pathway for selected “Life’s a Ball Champions.” The programme focused on:

  • Advanced leadership training
  • Event planning and sport management
  • Creativity and activity design
  • Embedding Olympic values such as respect and excellence

Participants were given real responsibilities, including leading sessions and organising events.

Outcome

  • Participants demonstrated strong leadership and initiative
  • Successful delivery of peer-led activities and events
  • Increased confidence in public speaking and coordination
  • Development of creative problem-solving skills
