Life’s a Ball Club Framework

Background
Young people aged 9 –17 often face social and health-related challenges, including limited access to accurate information about well-being, low physical activity levels, and lack of safe spaces to grow.

Challenge

  • Low participation in sport, especially among girls
  • Limited understanding of health, hygiene, and personal development
  • Lack of confidence in decision-making

Altus Sport Intervention
The Life’s a Ball Club created a safe, engaging environment where participants could grow through sport and education. The programme included:

  • Regular sport activities to boost participation
  • Workshops on hygiene, puberty, and well-being
  • Discussions on decision-making and risk awareness
  • Encouragement of leadership and peer support

Outcome

  • Increased sport participation, particularly among girls
