Spreading knowledge in the true spirit of sport,  friendship,  respect,  fairplay  and peace.

ALTUS SPORT  (NGO-NPO 049-738) was founded in 1995 and have since presented over 330 workshops and events which include topics such as sport and recreation management, facilitator's training, generic coaching, mass sport participation, talent identification, total fitness and  gymnasium training, Circuit training, Olympic education and running sustainable educational sport programmes.   ln 2004 Altus Sport established the Streetsoccer structure in Gauteng North and a KickAids programme in collaboration with GTZ.  Since  2005 the Life's a Ball programme was developed, implemented and managed.   Life's a Ball deals with  HIV/Aids, Environment and Olympism through sporting skills
 

Gert Potgieter. Gert is a former Olympian, elected men's athlete of the century in 2000 and played center for the Blue Bulls Rugby Union. Currently he is President of the Gauteng North Sport Council and serves on the SA Olympic Academy. He wrote several sport coaching publications, presented numerous sport development programmes in Southern Africa and holds sport education in high esteem. He is a qualified and accredited Facilitator, Assessor and Moderator at ETDP-SETA.

   

Liana Laubscher. Liana travelled widely internationally concerning sport and recreation including Sessions on Olympism in Olympia, Greece. She is a qualified professional tennis coach and wrote several publications on sport coaching and Olympic Education. Currently she serves on the Gauteng North Sport Council and is a qualified Sport Facilitator, Assessor and Moderator at ETDP-SETA.

   

Kgabo Matjane. Kgabo served on the Women and Sport South Africa Advisory Committee to the Minister of Sport and Recreation, conducted Research for AusAID SAVET Programme on Scoping Study of the South African Sports Industry to improve Learner Placements. She takes a keen interest in the development of sport and sport management in the township areas as she is a qualified facilitator and assessor. Kgabo is currently a senior coordinator for Strategic management, Monitoring and Evaluation at Sport and Recreation South Africa

   

Richard Chauke. Richard was the co-founder and first President of the Gauteng North Sport Council when it was founded in 1992. He was a sport administrator at Robin Island after which he became a pioneer in transforming sport, particularly Rugby, Table Tennis and Athletics in Gauteng North as well as the founding of Sport Councils in the townships. Richard still serves as an Honorary Vice President on the Gauteng North Sport Council.

   
   
George Letsoalo. George was an official at the Sport Bureau of the University of Pretoria for many years and still is an Executive member of the Seabe Sport Development Association in Mpumalanga. He has initiated and implemented many sport development programmes and founded streetsoccer in the Seabe area. George has qualified himself as a Team Building Official at the Team Building Institute of South Africa and currently serves as a Rugby Development Coordinator at the Blue Bulls Rugby Union
